While our notarization fees remain competitive and in accordance with Colorado law, it's important to note that additional charges may apply for travel, depending on various factors such as appointment specifics, time of day, location, and distance.
For your convenience, the travel fee is seamlessly included in the purchase, sale, or refinance signing agent fees within the Denver Metro area. However, if your appointment requires travel beyond this region, a separate travel fee may be applicable.
Please be aware that the travel fee will still apply under specific circumstances even if the notarization cannot be completed. Such circumstances include:
Presentation of non-valid identification
Absence of the signer and/or witnesses
Signer's lack of coherence, rendering the notarization unsafe to proceed
Once your signing is successfully concluded, an invoice will be promptly dispatched to the email address associated with the appointment booking. If a third party is handling the payment, kindly furnish us with the relevant email address during the booking process. We have streamlined the payment process through our various payment processing portals, facilitating easy and secure online and in person payments.
Per the regulations outlined in Colorado law, the fees charged by a notary public must not exceed $15 for each document attested by the notary, except as stipulated otherwise by applicable laws.
SECTION 6. In Colorado Revised Statutes, amend 24-21-529 as follows: 24-21-529. Notary's fees. (1) Except as specified in subsection (2) of this section, the fees of a notary public may be, but must not exceed, FIFTEEN dollars for each document attested by a person before a notary, except as otherwise provided by law. The fee for each such document must include all duties and functions required to complete the notarial act on PAGE 4-SENATE BILL 23-153 in accordance with this part 5. (2) In lieu of the fee authorized in subsection (1) of this section, a notary public may charge a fee, not to exceed TWENTY-FIVE dollars, for the notary's electronic signature.
